Hi, I'm Natália. I'm a Brazilian journalist, writer, and ghostwriter living in Madrid, where I moved with my husband, young daughter, mother-in-law, and thirteen suitcases (yes, thirteen, and that's already a story to tell). I write about real people. As a journalist, I've always been interested in giving a voice to those who are almost never heard: women who have survived domestic violence, obstetric violence, and people from the LGBTQIAP+ community in Brazil. These are powerful stories, told with all the care they deserve, and which, in some way, help other women feel less alone.

But I also write about myself. With humor, sincerity, and a good dose of self-deprecation, because that's how I approach life. I talk about motherhood without filters (including dirty diapers and existential crises in the same paragraph), about starting over in another country speaking another language, and about living with OCD and its most bizarre quirks. For me, nothing is "too small a subject" to become a book—as long as it's told truthfully.

And my family is in all of this. It's not just inspiration: it's where the best stories (and the most absurd stories) come from. It's watching my children grow up and my life reinvent itself in another language that I find what I want to tell.

Oh, and yes: I write with my own hands. I enjoy following discussions about artificial intelligence (I even have a section on my website dedicated to it), but I don't use generative AI in my writing. Every word that comes out with my signature is written by me, without shortcuts. For me, telling these stories requires presence and genuine listening (experience!), and that's something no machine can do.

I've already written about motherhood, domestic violence, obstetric violence, diversity, love in all its forms, and what it's like to be a woman, a mother, and a foreigner all at once—in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Ultimately, that's what I want: to put into words what many women feel but can't always express.
